Reading: *I shortened the day because I am asking you to read two chapters today. I always read these two chapters together because there is a lot that happens. I hope you have been enjoying this book!

Science: Friday: Use the link to mix up a saturated solution that will grow rock candy. Watch the video all the way through. Then gather your supplies and watch the video again stopping and following the instructions. Add food coloring and flavoring to the mixture after it is heated. Be sure to follow the given directions. *This experiment will take several days to complete. Sci Guys Make Rock Candy
Draw a picture of your rock candy set up in your notebook. Label it Day 1. Watch it grow over the weekend.
Use extra time to catch up on any assignments that you didn't complete. There are only 3 more days left of schoolwork!

Math Fact Practice: Pig: Roll the dice. Add them together. That is your score & you can stop, or be a pig & keep rolling. If you choose to keep rolling you continue to add your sums to your score, but if you roll a one on either die, you lose all your points for that turn. The first player to 100 wins. Write the name of the winner and the score in your notebook.

Math Fact Practice: Going to Boston:
- Materials Needed: • 3 dice • Paper and pen for scoring
- How to Play Going to Boston
- 1. Have each player roll one die. The player with the highest number goes first.
- 2. Each player in turn rolls all three of the dice. After the first throw, remove the die with the highest number and put it aside.
- 3. Roll the two remaining dice and again put the highest number aside.
- 4. Roll the last die and multiply that number by the sum of the other 2 dice to get the player’s score for that round. Record the score on a pad of paper.
- 5. Continue taking turns moving clockwise around the table until all players have had a turn. The highest score for the round wins.
- 6. Play a number of rounds and either add up a combined score at the end or tally winning rounds to come up with a game champion.
